Question:
I have 141 chainsaw serial number 2361666 I will not start and I believe it's due to the choke not working properly. Normally, to cold start I pull the choke out and it stays out until the engine starts and I engage the throttle but instead it pulls back in (doesn't stay engaged). Why might the choke not stay engaged when I pull it out?
Also, any advice for removing one of the bolts/studs that attach the carburetor to the engine? It turns but it doesn't come out.
Thanks
Tim

Answer
Appears to have the Walbro WT-660 carburetor the choke latches up with throttle partially open when you pull the trigger you are unlatching the choke and throttle setup and the spring loaded choke opens.
As for the mounting screw it sound the the carburetor hold has turned loose or is stripped. You may end up having to cut the screw and replacing the carburetor adapter and the screw.

Thanks Eugene. Good to know the make/model of the carb. So why has my chock stopped latching in the closed/on position when I pull it out for a cold start? I'm looking at the linkages and I'm trying to figure out where/how it is supposed to latch in closed/on position.
Thanks
Tim
