    Question:
I have a 130BT Backpack Blower. It will start, but will only run at with the choke half on. I let it run for 10 mins and when I pick it up, it dies. What do I need to do to fix? Thanks

I start first by cleaning and rebuilding the carburetor as the metering diaphragm has stiffen. From there it would the crankcase pressure and vacuum test to determine if there is air leak. Also it would not hurt to check the spark arrester on the muffler as these can clog with carbon and cause running problems.

I rebuilt the carburetor...It would start only with the choke off and it was barely running.  If I open the choke, the power would increase but then with a couple of seconds it would die.   If I move the choke off to about 95% there, I gain more power...after 5 minutes it died.  I then went to clean the spark arrester screen...now it will only stay on for a couple of minutes (full choke) but barely running.

There is no air leak.  It has a new fuel filter, hoses, fuel (Before I made this post).  I tried to see if unscrewing the fuel cap while it was running to see if that made a difference, but it did not.

What is the next step?  Thanks
