    Question:
Re: PP4620AVX chainsaw. What are the initial settings for the low and high speed idle?
With a 25 degree angle on the chain, is the operating speed lower than a 30 degree?
What is the operating RPM of this chainsaw?
I am trying to cut the trunk of a large Oak which has been down for some time and is drying out. The saw cuts through it very slowly. Is that normal?

Thank you for contacting the Answer Army.

The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) mandates that only a certified Poulan Pro dealer is legally competent to adjust carburetors.

Sharpening geometry is universal for all chain types. Filing angles can be different at 25°, 30°, or 35°. Use the appropriate filing angle that is recommended for the type of chain that you are using.

Operating RPM of this chain saw depends upon the type and sharpness of the cutting chain and the type of wood being cut.

Yes, a large oak tree that is dried out will be very difficult to cut and it will go slowly. This is normal for dried out wood.
