    I have a rancher 455. About 4 years old. All of a sudden it won't turn off. I took the cover off the saw that there is a wire just hanging. Where does it go? Did something break? The manual isn't clear on this. IT shows the wiring, then in another view it shows the switch...

      No you didn't break per say. It is just either wire slipped out or you accidentally pulled it out. On the stop lever you see the area that is shaped just like the terminal. this where it is push into. If loose fitting then open the two barrels a little.

      AH... got it... thanks.     In my younger days I probably would have figured this out..
