    Question:
    Hello,

I purchased an RZ4623 in June and it now has 12 hours on it. Over this time it has slowly lost drive power when running in forward. I've confirmed that the wheels are not slipping on the grass and the engine shows no audible sign of excessive load.

When approaching a mild hill at mowing speeds, the tractor is not capable of maintaining the speed and slows down to a crawl. However, in reverse the mower has no problem and maintains speed even up moderate hills.

Is there anything I can check or adjust myself? If not, can you suggest a local dealer that can perform warranty work? My zip is 19352.

    Thanks,
    Paul

Thank you for contacting the AnswerARMY.

It is upsetting that you have had this failure.

First I do not believe it is major as both sides are failing, this indicates either the "dump valves" are engaged ( this allows you to manually push the unit) or something wrong with the transmission belt drive.

You can and should check the "dump valves" refer to your operators manual for location and operation of this. If you find they are tight or not activated then it would need to be looked at by an authorized Husqvarna service center.
