    Question:
I have a 7021P walk behind mower. I received 15.5 oz oil with the mower. Manual says it holds 18.5 oz. Tag attached to top of mower says fill mower with oil, let sit 1 min insert and tighten dipstick to check oil level. Manual inst.(operation) before starting engine says engine holds 20 oz of oil. Pour oil slowly, wait 1 min, insert and tighten dipstick to check level. Manual inst (maintenance) says oil capacity is 18.5 oz. Pour in oil, wait 1 min, insert dipstick and rest the oil fill cap on the tube. DO NOT thread cap into the tube.
Does it hold 15.5 that was sent with the mower, 18.5, or 20 oz?
Do you tighten the dipstick to check the oil or rest it on the tube?

Thank you for for contacting the AnswerARMY.

It is upsetting you have had this distress.

Since Husqvarna does not build the engine we always defer to the engine manufacturer for all engine related service and maintenance.

I can tell you that these values have changed over the years as well as cap on top or screwed in, different engine manufacturers perform this differently as well as sometimes they even change method of checking the oil.

Please contact the engine manufacturer to determine the current method of oil checking and quantity.
