Why does my new string trimmer seem to be bogged down and won't idle?
Details:
This is a new trimmer it ran fine for the first tank or two of fuel. now it seems to run for a few minutes then actually gets just bogged down. It will run with the choke on but the minute you set it to idle it just shuts off. Seems like it is bound up or something. Any ideas where to start?
Answer
Carry into the dealer to have the carburetor adjusted which is mostly set to run too lean. It may also need a carburetor cleaning and rebuild. One other thing I doubt to be the problem so soon and that is a plugged spark arrestor on the muffler.
