    Question:
I have a husqvarna rancher 44 practica chain saw for which I need a ignition coil. The coil is no longer available that I can find. Believe the part # is 501681501. The nos. on the tag are 3441 091122. I'm hoping another saw coil might fit. Thanks for any help

how dew hugh?  drum moose is selling one on ebay used for $15.00.  guaranteed in working order.  it will fit that 44.

the igniter on that 44 is fairly wide and most other coils can be re-fit into that space. just mount up closely enough to the flywheel so it will get excited by the magnets.

      good luck...

Thanks Robert,I saw that one and bid on it. It's not the same.  mines a single pole but it's worth trying.

copy that.  I have two cdi igniters brand new that fit bluemax 8901.  take a look at the shape of it on the homedepot webpage in the chainsaw category.  pull up the IPL page to see the shape.  they are cheaply priced from north American tool industries.  they may be able to re-fit into that space.
