    Question:
We purchased the Husqvarna YTH24V48 riding mower - We have used it one time and it shows 1 hour of use. I filled the gas tank in preparation to mow our property - 2 1/2 acres - the gas did leak out around the spout as I was filling it so I grabbed a rag and wiped it up - most of the height numbers rubbed right off - I am REALLY disappointed now. Because of the location of the gas fill I can hardly read the height numbers. Why aren't they stamped into the plastic so when gas is spilled they don't rub right off?? What a disappointment! We've always owned John Deeres before and this is our first experience with Husqvarna.

Should not happen if they used the right paint. It should be fuel resistance on any equipment where fuel can be accidently spilled on it. Contact your dealer and file a complaint. Note I not with Husqvarna but do service lot of brands and have only seen this on cheap aftermarket parts before this.

The dealer we purchased the mower from contacted Husqvarna and is getting a new part for us.  Husqvarna says the paint they use is NOT fuel-resistant so it will wipe off - FYI.  This really bites as you are bound to spill gas on that part.  Mowing height information should either be stamped into the plastic or fuel resistant paint used.

Thanks for the update. I also agree this should be fuel resistant paint. It is an area that will prone to fuel fills hopefully Husqvarna will make the needed changes.
