    Question:
YTA1946 Front Wheels squeaking. Just bought a house and came with a YTA1946 Riding Lawn Mower. Tried it out and after a short while (just warmed up) I noticed loud squeak coming from front wheels. Only happens when I roll forward (can't go fast enough backyards). Manual seems to indicate no bearings in these wheels. How can I fix this?

Yes the front wheels has bushing type bearings. Depending how old the mower is they maybe plastic but new replacements are bronze. They do require regular greasing to prevent wear.

With them squeaking they have not been greased in long time and have both themselves and the front spindle axles out. Just depends how long. I have seen cases where the rims and axles both destroyed because wear though. This happens on all brands that use bushing bearings not just Husqvarna where the owners never service their mowers.

These bushings and axles will need to be checked and if bad replaced; otherwise, grease them and the squeaking should go away.
