String Trimmers

Husqvarna String Trimmer 128DJX had / is experiencing an issue with the clutch. Engine runs fine, but power is not transferred to the string head. Requesting info / warranty extension for the following unit –

• Husqvarna String Trimmer w/ blade, Model 128DJX
• S/N 13058N100247
• Purchased 5-1-2013
• Two year warranty extended an additional year because of 50:1 oil promotion.
• Warranty Confirmation 151005 - 000168

Issue happened last year while still under warranty. It ran good for a while, but now problem has happened again after using only two times this season.

Is this unit still covered under warranty since same component / same repair ?
Is there a recall or new replacement part available - since it would appear there is an on-going problem with the initial production design ?

I’m hoping that the company is willing to correct this issue and “make it right”. But, so far, I’ve talked to Warranty (800-487-5951) and was told to talk to dealership. I spoke with authorized dealership where initial work was done … and they told me to talk to Husqvarna because there wasn’t any way they could extend warranty service. So, I called 336-629-0587 and was told to talk to dealership.

This is my polite request for support in resolving an issue which happened under the warranty period but is still unresolved.
