Poulan Pro Chainsaw Pruner model #PP258TP SERIOUS safety...escalated

    Question:
Poulan Pro Chainsaw Pruner model #PP258TP SERIOUS safety issue involving weight supporting harness - buckle is cheap plastic as opposed to a heavy duty nylon or metal - snapped after limited use & can cause sudden loss of control while in operation of chainsaw overhead. Being a consumer safety issue this should be replaced even outside warranty which unbelievably was only 90 days for the harness. See the review I found at Lowes.com in details below (I purchase it at Lowe's). Poulan parts site lists harness as unavailable.

    Great saw for the money.

I bought this pole saw to trim a few tree limbs in my yard prior to Hurricane Sandy. Performed flawlessly. Easy assembly and setup. The harness is an issue. The buckle snapped during the first usage. Harness is constructed of cheap plastic that will not take the stresses involved with the cutting process and the weight of the saw and pole. Other than that, no problems. Great value for the money,
