    Question:
I have a new ST224 which I just obtained and having a problem in that I can not get the discharge chute to go right. It will go all the way 90 left, but only barely right.

There are two cable adjustments and no matter what I do it does not help the situation.

How can I readjust the cable as it seems too little is on one side?
    Details:

Cables terminate under the lever on a pin. At the end where the chute is there is a plastic wheel with the cable wrapped around that wheel. I assume I need to recenter the cable there, but do not see a way to accomplish that.

I have almost the exact same problem, except that my discharge chute doesn't go past straight forward.  It makes it rather difficult to avoid shooting snow out on the street or on the neighbor's driveway or ....  My model is the ST224P (with "power steering") which makes no difference.  This seems to me to be a manufacturing problem.  My thrower was delivered December 12, 2015, 2 days before 8" of snow, so I find this very frustrating, almost as frustrating as not having any directions in the "manual" on how to adjust it or pretty much anything else. (But it does start up immediately and otherwise runs well.)
