    Question:
I purchased a PP335 in late April from WalMart. In early June the engine seized. The fuel mix I was using was the mix provided by Poulan. The service center said the gas did not contain oil and charged me $65 to repair the unit. The unit now does not have the power it first had and boggs down. It will not run for more than a few minutes without dying. The unit does not operate either the string trimmer or the brushcutter properly without dying. The fuel mix was also used in my chain saw without problems. What are my options?

Thank you for contacting the AnswerARMY.

I would direct you back to the local Poulan service center, when experiencing low power this is commonly a restricted exhaust ( fuel related ) and or carburetor adjustment.

It is extremely important that the fuel used not be more than 30 days old, fuels today do not stay fresh like gasolines of even just several years back. It is also important to agitate the fuel cans before fueling your equipment because the alcohol in todays fuel absorbs moisture from the air this causes the fuel to separate causing a lack of lubrication failure.

Please refer to your operators manual for fuel handling safety and guidance.

You can find your local Poulan dealers for sales and service as well as manuals and a place to order parts using the link provided http://www.poulan.com choose the appropriate link at the bottom of the page.
