    Question:
I need to know how to wire a keyed ignition switch on a Rz46i husqvarna that has a smart switch. The cheapest smart switch I found was $270.00.The wiring schematic that came with my mower is not very clear.

Not easily done and still have all the safeties working as intended. Plus the PTO will required extensive rewinding. Due liability issues I can not instruct you how to do it. May someone is willing to take the chance.

I can do it in my shop but that is because I know will be done correctly without disabling any of the safeties.

Thanks. I figured out the wiring. Now my problem is with that module on the side of the engine where the dipstick is.I can't find any info on the part number. I have the Husqvarna Endurance Series.

        Model# 44S777                                                                                                                                                                                    Type     0011G1                                                                                                                                                                                  Code     140216YG

The numbers on the module are 591970 and 131206. Could you tell me where to find this item?

I believe what you looking at is the voltage regulator PN 593490. THe number you is probably an in-house number.for the part before they add the connectors.

If am right the part should look like this.

Just google the part number for sources or check with your local Briggs and Stratton dealer.

I did a g 5100 sears Worked out great. They only used the smart switch a couple of years. I did some research and took the next year model after they stopped using the smart switch and used that models wiring harness and all the safety switches except the reverse switch Ordered the harness thru Husqvarna. The safety switches looked the same but had different part numbers. It only cost less than 150.00 and took about 2 hours.
