Question:

I have a "new" factory refurb 128cd trimmer that I can not seem to get running. The unit will not run at idle. The only way it will stay running is by manipulating the throttle up and down constantly. The fuel used is currently running my 450 saw and another trimmer, so that does not appear to be the problem. I tried the idol adjustment screw without effect. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like the low speed mixture setting is off and needs readjusting; although, there be another problem with carburetor. With the tamper resistance covers on these screws you will need to have the dealer reset these adjustments as it part of the EPA certification of the trimmer that these covers are to be in place.

  I took the trimmer to the local dealer/warranty service center, and he will not touch a factory reconditioned trimmer without charging a minimum of $15. The trimmer is still covered under the factory recondition warranty. A little odd for a service center to refuse warranty work.
