    Question:
I purchased a Poulan Pro 18" PP4218 and used it about 2.5 weeks occassionally. It then lost it's compression and would not start. I took it back and got another and had it one week an d it did the same thiong and got to where it would not start. I took it to a Dealer and he checked it and the piston was scored. He said I did not do anything wrong the gas was mixed properly and it was a problem with the saw. This is the 2nd one I have tried, have there been issues with this model saw ?

    Hi Mark

Thanks for contacting the Answer Army to post your questions.

There are several reasons that may cause the cylinder to score. Have your service dealer contact Technical Support with information regarding your product so that we may determine what the cause of failure was. If it is a true manufacture defect then we will need to contact the factory to see if there is a problem.

Thanks again from the Husqvarna Technical Services Team.
