Question:
I've got a Husqvarna 440e which I bought brand new December 2011 and it died the third time I used it. I took it back to Lowe's and they sent it out for repair - it came back about a month later because apparently the cylinder was scored due to "improper lubrication." Meaning I ran it after letting it sit for three weeks and apparently the motor couldn't handle that. I've got a 16 year old Stihl that I can run three month old fuel mix through and it handles it fine, never had a problem and it starts with no arguments every time.
My question is this - I had thought that Husqvarna was one of the most reputable outdoor equipment manufacturers on the market, why is it that the motor was so easily damaged?
