    Question:
I have a Husqvarna 128CD string trimmer. I used a non-Husqvarna attachment and think I stripped the connector where the trimmer shaft connects to the main unit. When I put the string trimmer shaft on, it will spin the head, but I can hear it slipping and it has little power to cut. Is the "Assy-Cable/Wire Harness" the part I need to replace? It is hard to tell from the pictures in the parts guide. Is the replacement fairly easy to do? Thanks.

Most likely your are needing the upper shaft kit PN 575262501; although, depending on the damage you may also may need the clutch drum housing PN 530150039. The cable/wire is the throttle cable and wiring for the on/off switch.

As for replacement of the upper shaft it is a fairly easy job.
