Question:
I have a push mower that I bought last May 2015, that will not run again. I used it twice last year after purchasing it an then it would not start. Took it to a local dealer and they fixed it under the warranty. I then used it about four times last year, before the end of the season. This year I have used it once and now it won't start/run again.
Took to the same repair dealer today and he said the carburetor is bad again. It is model number XT722FE and serial number 011411m002340.
This item has a Kohler motor and is the worst Husqvarna product I have ever owned. Review of some on-line sites that offer consumer comments of this same product are abysmal.
How do I return this product to Husqvarna?
Answer
Curious as a technician as to what the dealer has say was wrong with the carburetors. I have only serviced one Kohler XT173 engine and the carburetor was needing cleaning and the fuel bowl replaced. The fuel bowl was rusted from moisture in the fuel and this rust is what had clogged the carburetor. Most likely the fuel contained ethanol with is bad to do this as the ethanol attracts moisture like a magnet attracts metal.
