    Question:
I have a Husqvarna hu725awd mower, the mower starts fine but if I turn it off to empty the bag it won't start. After sitting for 10 minutes it will again start. I've changed the oil, plug, gas cap, air filter without luck. Basically, the motor has to sit to restart. I also tried restarting it without the gas cap on without luck.

Check for spark when it is doing this. Sounds like the ignition coil is failing from thermal overload. If no spark try replacing the ignition coil pack. I seen a few coil's electronics to fail this way. I had one riding mower that I could for 30 minutes or longer without problems then after I turn the engine off and few minutes later would not start until cooled.

This might sound strange what happens is when shut the engine is no longer air cooling itself and it continues to heat up before it starts it cool down. Any electronics that near thermal failure can fail at this time.

I don't think this is strange, the engine is running very hot.  I was thinking of a thermal failure also somewhere too.

I tried running the engine for 2 minute and the engine wasn't even hot.  It did the same thing and didn't start until it was 10 minutes.  I think something is not permitting gasoline from getting through.

I just purchased a new husqvarna model # 100000 725exl , it started up fine but after my bag became fullI turned it off to empty the bag , replaced the bag and pulled the the starter handle , it would not start up, so I waited for about ten minutes, it finally started up. I am so disappointed, what should I do?

      Hi,

I had the exact same problem as above, none of the answers above worked.  I believe the problem is that the fuel system is air bound.  I went through the same thing for about 2 months.  I went away for a month or so, my daughter cut the grass and had the same problem.  I got back and fuel up again and the problem went away!

TRY THIS:  Take the gas cap off, you will see a small hole about a inch from the top of the tank.  Fill with gas to the very top and you should see bubbles coming from that small hole (you may have to do this a couple of times to get the air out of system).  It should work fine till next year.  LOTS OF LUCK  If this works, please post for others.
