    Question:
Just bought Husqvarna ST 224 snowthrower that was already put together by Lowes on Thursday and when I went to start it to test it out tonight before the big storm and it won't start. I tried electric and manual start nothing, new gas, theres oil in it I followed all the directions still nothing . Does anyone know what's wrong or if Im missing something?

It seems the issue is LOWES!!  We bought a snow thrower there and had it put together by them. It was not ready on the promised date or time and, having borrowed a truck, had to wait for it to be done.  Several weeks later when needing it, it started fine but the chute only rotates 90 degrees, not 180 degrees necessitating a hassle of one directional snow throwing.  Called LOWES and was told  to look at the chute cables maybe they are just put together wrong.  WE PAID TO HAVE IT PUT TOGETHER!  or may be defective so could bring it back.  They will not come to look at it.  I have no way of getting it BACK to LOWES.   Now the blizzard is coming.

Husqvarna needs to address the poor service at LOWES as well as what I am supposed to do now??

Follow up , spoke with Lowes and they will be picking up my snowthrowe. Apparently there were multiple complaints about the ST 224 not working and they have determined they were sent a bad batch and are picking up the units that aren't working. I purchased this model at the Lowes in Howell NJ

I have the exact same problem with ST 224. I tried to start the snow blower/thrower several times after following the instructions that came along with it. it just won't start - when I use the electric starter - it cranks for some time but that's about it. I tried to call the nearby Lowe's store today (more than one store actually)..could not get through them (there appears to have been some snag with the phone lines I think. Will try again in some time and will keep you guys posted. Please share your recent updates.
