I just purchased a srd17530 and it did not come with gauge wheels and it scalped my lawn in several places ,my lawn used to be the neighborhood pride but not now Jim.

It is upsetting that you have experienced this concern.
I checked and there is no gauge wheel kit available for this mower. This is a Sears exclusive and you should contact Sears with any concerns you have on this machine. While we build it to Sears specifications we do not provide support or warranty for this.
The best advise is to raise your height of cut to help prevent scalping.
