    Question:
I have a W436 Commercial Walk Behind with about 13 hours on it and it loses power when going up any type of grade. The engine appears to be running well its just that the mower will not move uphill. If I put a lot of my own pushing into it I can get it to move but that's rather exhausting and I was hoping for any help concerning this matter. Could it be something simple? Traction belts? Has anyone else experienced this issue?

There is three belts in involved but I thinking you need to check the main transmission drive belt.

Here is the IPL that should help.

Thank you for the diagrams and advice.  It was the transmission belt.  The mower moved along very well after adjusting the idler pulley.  I would guess that since the machine is new that the belts simply stretched a bit although I also do not think that enough tension was ever in it to begin when I got it from the dealer.  Anyhow, thanks again.  It's always nice when what could be a major issue turns out to be a 5 minute fix.
