    Question:
I have a 128CD string trimmer. If I tip the trimmer on its side to get a different cut angle with the trimmer I end up with gas leaking from the cap down my back/leg. It this normal? Doesn't seem correct. If I try to tighten the cap there seems to be a feature which prevents the cap from being over-tightened and it pops loose.

It isn't normal. Will need the product number and serial number as there are three different version of the tank. On one version to replace the fuel cap you will the complete tank kit.

The SKU say it is the one that was sold by Lowes. The serial doesn't fit the pattern in the service reference page but I attach a copy of it as you can compare the fuel line setup for the correct tank. One tank uses grommet style and other the lines are just inserted into the tank through two holes.

Although not listed for the 545180870 tank assy the fuel cap is part number 530150350.

There no listed fuel cap for 545105105 so only complete tank can ordered for it.

I can't see the what you attached.  I'll have to check the fuel line stily when I get home.  I'm attaching a picture of the label on the bottom of the trimmer motor housing.
