    Question:
I purchased a Weed Eater One about a year ago and used it four or five times at the most. After storing in a garage over the winter, the mower will not start. When I tried to start it I heard a clunk noise, and now the mower cannot be put into neutral. The lever in the back is loose. I can't push it onto a trailer to take it for repair, and I can't start it to drive it on to a trailer. Is there something a novice can do to try to fix this thing? I tried to return it to Walmart last summer but they would not take it back. Total piece of junk!

    Thank you for contacting AnswerARMY.

The most likely cause for the engine not to start is that the fuel has become stale and will not allow the engine to run. This will most likely need to go to a local authorized Briggs and Stratton dealer which may or may not be the same dealer as your local authorized WeedEater service center. I am not sure what the "clunk" noise would be. The unit should be delived to the local authorized WeedEater service center for inspection and evaluation.

Call Briggs and Stratton at 1-800-233-3723 to locate service or parts dealers.

    or visit their website  http://www.briggsandstratton.com/

Be sure to have all the engine related numbers Model-Type-Code and Serial.

You can find your local Weed Eater dealers for sales and service as well as manuals and a place to order parts using the link provided http://www.weedeater.com choose the appropriate link at the bottom of the page.
