    Question:
I have a HU625 AWD. I have had this mower for less than a year. After sitting over the winter, it will no longer start. I have removed the little bit of fuel that was still in the tank and replaced with TruFuel. Still will not start.

Please let me know what I need to do to get this mower working again. Thank you.

The carburetor will most likely need a good cleaning.

Thanks Eugene.  Is there a manual or instructions for how to do this on the HU625 AWD?

If I got it straight the mower has a Briggs 625 series engine on it. Even the repair manual doesn't cover the exact procedure. For Walbro LMS you remove the carburetor then its fuel bowl. Then using an ultrasonic cleaner you process it until it clean, dry, and re-assemble using a new bowl and retaining bolt gaskets. If yours is the primer version then primer gasket on the air filter base needs replacing and lightly torqued; over torquing the mounting will warp the air clean base which results in a non-working primer.

I have cleaned the carburetor, replaced the spark plug, and it's still not starting.  Any other suggestions?  It is the non-primer version.  I bought from Lowes less than a year ago and it supposedly has a 3 year warranty.  Please let me know what I need to do.  Thanks.

try hand choking to see it will start or a little fuel squirted into the carburetor throat. Some of the auto chokes get out adjustment and the engine will not start.

If still doesn't start by squirting a little fuel then either have a bad coil or some other problem.

Tried hand choking and still no start.  I'm getting a little pissed off.  I bought this mower less than a year ago and have never had a problem like this with a mower before.  My lawn has grown half way up my leg and looks like complete garbage.  The mower has a 3 year warranty and Lowes is not willing to do anything about it.  What are my options?  Replace or repair?  Either way, I need a resolution immediately.  I'm not putting another dime into this mower on my own.  I have put hours of labor into it as well.  I have tried every trouble-shooting tip.  It is not firing up.  Please advise.
