    Question:
    Husqvarna String Trimmer

I've owned my trimmer for several years now, and overtime I get a lot of oil built up on the muffler. The tech says I'm not running it at a high enough RPM, is this true? Can anything else be done? I mix Husqvarna XP 2 Stroke oil with Shell 93 octane.
    Details:

Model #123L 3HVXS.0254EG. The photo attached was taken after I cleaned it and ran it once. It may have cleaned up better if it wasn't cold.

       Hi Steve,

Do you run the trimmer at idle or lower speeds for extended periods?  Also, if the machine is running rich buildup will occur around the exhaust.
