Question:
I just got my YT42LS delivered a few days ago. Is it supposed to have the Mandrel/Pulley covers? Both pulleys are exposed and I noticed other mowers have the covers. It appears there is bolt locations. Local dealer told me that some come with the cover and some don't. Seems like a safety issue to me.
I'm also disappointed how the bracket above the deck has already rubbed through the paint on the deck.

Answer
According to the IPL no covers on that model.
I have seen other with same complaint about that bracket and the paint it rubs off. I haven't seen one of these mower in my shop so can't comment as to why it is doing.
