Question:
I bought a RZ3016 zero-turn mower. The place where I bought it didn't fill in the Engine model: line in the "Operator's Manual". I would fill it out for my records if I had it.
My problem is there is a miss on the Briggs & Stratton motor. I went back to the dealer's and asked them about it and was told that all the Briggs & Stratton motors have the miss in them and I should just operate it with the miss. The problem arose when I kept the speed down and the mower wouldn't throw up the grass to the catchers. I was told to speed up the throttle and when I told them about the miss, I was told to operate it with the miss.
Is that true? Over the years I have had several Briggs & Stratton motors on small equipment and never had that problem. I would hate to think that it is common to buy defective equipment that is expensive for us poor people.
Can you help me out?
