FAQ 633. Why can't I find horse power ratings for new equipment?
In the past different engine manufacturer's could rate horsepower using different methods and thereby the ratings were not uniform. The move to use torque as the accepted rating has been made by most of the engine manufacturer's.
Most engine manufacturer's no longer offer us the information of horsepower for certain engines. This is an industry wide change.
