    Question:
    I have a Husqvarna 445. When removing the chain bar I see a small white plastic rectangle with 2 holes and 1 slot that aligns alongside the bar. Anyone know what this part is called and where it can be ordered. Don't seem to find in any parts illustration. Mine is damaged and need to determine if replacement is necessary. Also confirmation on how it is to be positioned.

        I stand corrected, there are no holes, just long slot. Here is a photo. And thanks for your interest.

      That was a shipping spacer that should been remove when the saw was first setup. Simply remove and discard.

      I am surprised that you didn't have oiling problems with bar and chain.

      wow!! You're kidding me. With the directive listed on it to have this side point forward (see arrow cut out in photo) I never would have guessed it was shipping spacer. Thanks for the heads up.
