Question:
I have a 128LD Trimmer. I ran it out of gas for the winter and now when I tried to prime it this spring the bulb will not fill up. Is there a hose that goes in the tank for the primer bulb? I have only one hose in my tank for the throttle. Could the primer hose have fallen off if there is in fact one? If so, how do I get one?
Thank you
Answer
Yes the fuel line could have deteriorated to a point to where it just falls off. There is actually two lines. One is the fuel pickup with filter and one return line for excess purged fuel/air. One note there is also a small filter screen in the carburetor itself that can be clogged when the fuel lines deteriorate.
Due to product improvements there two sets of fuel lines available. Please refer to the attached service reference for the correct parts and numbers.

This just a vendor that I use for parts and parts look-ups and by no means a recommendation as source for parts.

The hose inlet closest to the primer goes about halfway to 1 inch down into the tank, The 1 that goes to the diaphragm is the 1 with a filter on the end, But yes there should be 2 hoses. Replace them and should be oks.

What is the easiest way to replace it? It is a tight fit in the tank.
