    Question:
    Chain help with 455 rancher?
    Details:

Hello! I just received a used Husqvarna 455 Rancher with a 20 inch bar. It runs great! The issue is with the chain. I recently changed it, and since have had issues with it. Every single time I attach the cover, it is too tight for the bar and won't allow the chain to spin. However just barely loosening it results in me losing the nut that keeps it in place as it vibrates off. I have already two, really don't want to lose anymore! Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

First we need to determine how the saw is setup as there are a few ways it can be. Usually the bar will the chain info engraved on it. The new chain needs to match these specs. This particular can have either .325 or 3/8 Dl Setup and also can have either a .050, .058, or .063 gauge chain requirement. If any these don't match the bar and the spur drive on the clutch drum then you will have problems.
