    Question:
I was servicing our string trimmer and when putting grease in the angled beveled gear housing, I was not sure as to how much grease it should contain. Not enough or too much will cause problems. What do you folks recommend.
    thanks for your time.

    Awesome photo, Jim!

The grease in the bevel gear does not normally need to be changed except if repairs are carried out.  The bevel gear is filled with the right quantity of grease at the factory. However, before using the machine you should check that the bevel gear is filled three quarters (3/4) full with grease. Be sure to use Husqvarna special grease from your local Service Dealer.

yes, so much is stated in the manual

just how does one determine when the bevel gear is 3/4 full?
