    Question:
    How long does it take?

I bought my SmartCut online from Home Depot on May 7th. It was delivered on May 20. It also broke down on May 20th.

The mower will not move forward or backward.

I had the mower delivered to a repair shop in Vancouver, WA on May 24th.

I've been told the clutch is bad.

Today is July the 16th. and still the mower sits broken. It had sat in my carport broken until July 8th. when I had it delivered to the repair shop in Vancouver when they had received parts to fix the mower.

The shop swapped in the parts then during a test drive the clutch plate failed.

So now my mower is sitting in Vancouver, WA waiting for parts.

Currently I've been borrowing my neighbor's mower. My mower has done no mowing except once for my front yard.

Multiple calls to the repair shop in Vancouver results in the same story. They can't get parts.

I'm told that a new transmission assembly has been shipped to the repair shop in Vancouver, WA. But how long will it take?

I've given up on using my mower this season.

Thank you for contacting the AnswerARMY.

It is upsetting that you have had these experiences. These mowers have been extremely popular.

There is no way for us to know how long the parts will take because we do not know how the parts were ordered. You will have to discuss this with your servicing dealer. Dealers order from distributors. Most distributors keep all the various parts available.

Please contact your local for questions on the parts order as they can follow up with their particular supplier.

I sent mine in for repair work because reverse would not work.  Home Depot called me today and told me all Smart Cuts had been recalled.  THey gave me a full refund on my unit.
