    Question:
I purchased a Rider 155 AWD in 2007. The rear transmission had a thrust bearing fail. I replaced the bearing. The mower works. However after about 15 minutes of mowing I begin to loose forward power on any uphill grades. I still have lots of reverse power. And have to finish any grades in reverse. Is there an adjustment I have missed.

It would be a guess but it may one of two check valves at the hydraulic engine being leaky as something may be preventing the full closure of the valve. These are located in the two line that connects to rear unit to the forward unit. As the fluid thins it leaks more and more.

This sounds like a possible solution. I looked on the two lines under the machine and do not see what could be a check valve. There are fittings when it connects to the transmissions and couplings connectors in the middle of the hoses. What would these valves look like? Would the valves be in the middle connectors? There was a 3rd check valve on the inside of the transmission. I replaced that when I did the bearing.

Lowell I looked over the diagrams again this morning and I am mistaken about where the check valves are. What I thought was the check valves are indeed just couplers. They must be internal to these transmissions. I was thinking the Hydro Gear transmission I repaired a couple weeks ago.

If you can find the manufacture and their model number for the transmissions I will see if I can find the need info for you. HUsqvarna doesn't provide that info that I can find.

Thanks Eugene.. The transmissions are Tuff Torq. The front transmission is Model KTM 10L. the rear transmission is K 574 A.

          Tuff Torq website.

          https://www.tufftorqservices.com/instance1/servlet/WebDispatcher?mode=comnet&nextMode=&nextURL=

Choose catalog shop > Riding mower transmissions> Click you particular transmission or wheel motor. Note: there is a serial break on the K574A so chose the correct one based on the serial number.

I think what we're looking for is items 28, 28, and 30. Note: item is a filter which very be the problem with the check valves.

This is all the help I can provide but wish you the best of luck on getting things straighten out.

If you would be so kind as to let us what the solution is when you find what it definitely is it would be appreciated.
