    Question:
I have a husqvarna riding mower that I am somewhat happy with. I have had nothing but continous flat front tires each week when I go to mow and at the start of each mowing season. I want to change to no flat tires but the closest I can find is a 15x6.50-6 and I need to know if this will work. Current front tires are 15x6.00-6. Please advise soonest. Thanks Kathleen

It depends on the mower and the deck clearance as the tires are a 1/2" wider also they must be mount on rims that works on your mower with the correct offset and spindle size. Tires can be gotten without rims but it takes someone with the right equipment and knowledge to install them.

Here my customers' biggest problem is the Bradford pear trees with their thorns. Simply changing over to 4 ply tire may resolve some your problem though even with them the thorns will puncture them at times.

Now both the 4 ply and the no flat tire will give a rougher ride.

Thanks!  The ride is not important.  The constant flat tires are.  In AZ we deal with Mesquite tree thorns that are two inches long and very strong.  Must be why they were used as sewing needles by the ancients!  Any way I will try the 6.50 tires which are in route.  Can send them back and get 4 ply tires otherwise.  Sounds like you are maybe telling me my mower came with 2 ply tires?  That sucks. I second that 4ply answer, I have goat heads and they are a pain, every tire on a piece of equipment for my yard gets 4ply and its done. They all come with 2ply on Husqvarna at least I'm 99% sure.

My brother and my farm hand both looked and think they might work ok.  The problem with the 4 ply tires is that the Mesquite thorns are often over 2 " long and they puncture the 10 ply tires on my truck!  So 4 ply would be like butter to them.  Once each month we spend the day pulling the darn things out of the no flat tires on the tractor and, the wagon and the ATV's (which fare a bit better for some reason).  Sadly the tractor pulls the bush hog and the young Mesquite are the worst.  So , let us all cross our fingers and hope they fit...if not I will do 4 ply and fill them with foam.

Feel your pain about the thorns as when I first moved to my current place  I volunteer do a bushing hogging job for a neighbor and when I was done my tractor tires looked like porcupines from all the Bradford thorns and do have other trees too that thorns just as long if not longer here.
