    Question:
WHY do my blades only last for 2 mowings at the most? I have NO rocks, I mow at the highest setting (3), yet the blades turn to crap very quickly? Considering what they cost, this is not only an intense aggravation, but it's getting costly as well. The area that I mow is approximately 3.5 acres, and is COMPLETELY rock free. It is sandy soil, and flat. As you can see in the image, they all wear the same. It happens so fast that the paint doesn't even wear off before the blades become nearly useless. I find myself having to mow the same pass 2-3 times to compensate. Frankly, I'm about to the point that I'm going to junk this thing and buy one from a company whose blades are not made from recycled soda cans, or is it the cheapest steel available from China? I'd say both are distinctly possible, and the latter is highly likely.

I'm sorry, I was incorrect.  The highest setting is 3.5 inches.  Just wanted to clarify.  TIA

I guess my question/problem was escalated to ... ummmmm .... an escalated destination where questions are completely ignored.

Thanks everyone!  I appreciate the reinforcement of my initial prediction of what to expect in the way of support.

I've already dumped too much cash into this piece of crap, but I can at least start buying the "generic" blades for my mower.  That will at least, hopefully, keep the Husqvarna grubbers from getting any more than they already have.

Does anyone know the website URL for John Deere mowers?

Wow, this is unusual. I can tell you my blades have lasted for 2 seasons now. I don't have the smoothest of surfaces and my son insists on "chopping" thru the small pecan branches that fall in the grass. My blades need replacing now, only because the "fins" at the edges are broken off. By the look of your blades, you must be cutting thru the densest dirt on the planet! Probably crushed rock judging by the scratches on the middle part of the blades. Grass alone would not do that. Sandy soil is the same as dirt; the wearon these blades looks like months of use.

Nooooo. NO rocks, NO gravel, NO pebbles AT ALL.  None.  Zero.

As I said, the "soil" is very, very sandy, and I cut it at the highest setting.  Those are NOT scratches on the blade, they are just swirls of deposits left by the grass/weeds that are being cut.  I have a lot of stuff that looks like milkweed and it oozes gunk when it's cut.

Since my original post, I've gone through 2 more sets of blades.  I guess I'm doing my part to support the corporate revenue forecasts.  Thanks Husqvarna!  You'll be last in line next time I need a lawnmower.
