    Question:
I purchased a factory refurbished HUSQVARNA 130BT Backpack Blower. Assembly and first-time engine starting was easy. However, once I engaged the throttle, the air volocity wained. As I depressed the throttle, the volocity would increase for 4-5 seconds and then it would diminish to the idle velocity. Is there some adjustment I need to make or do I have a malfunctioning unit that should be returned to the dealer for a replacement?

Greg P, thanks for your reply.  However, I figured out the cause of the problem.  I was using 2 cycle gas that was in my shed for a couple of years.  Either the fuel was old or the octane too low.  Either way, it affected the performance significantly.  Once I replaced that fuel with a fresh supply of 93 octane and 2 cycle lub mix, the blower immediately ran perfectly!

      Hi Frank

Thanks for contacting the Answer Army to post your questions.

It sounds like the unit may need a carb adjustment. You will need to let a Husqvarna dealer make this adjustment for you. Go to www.husqvarna.com to find a dealer near you.

Thanks again from the Husqvarna Technical Services Team
