Walk Behind Lawn Mowers

I have a model 6522sl walk behind mower. End of last year it's stopped running like something was jammed. Recoil moves a few inches but stops. Took belt off so the drive train isn't stopping it and belt was good. Didn't take blade and lower cover of shaft off yet to try and see if it turns. Don't think it would help.
