    Question:
I bought a Husqvrana MOdel700 from Lowes 7 months ago and now it goes dead after mowing about 30 minutes and won't crank back until it cools down and then it does the same thing again. Contacted Lowes, was not worth doing, all they said was they could send it off and I would have to pay. This is by far the worst mower I have ever had, the cheaper Murray mower from Wal-Mart is much, much better. I thought a Honda motor and Husqvrana company would be money well invested in a mower, not so. Had 7 months, not running right and can't get anything done, get WARRANTY, Husqvrana!!!!!!!

      James,

This is a copy of my response to your post that appeared in another person's post for help.

I sounds like the ignition coil electronics are failing. It is fairly rare for the ignition coil to fail but anything is possible. One thing that could be causing the problem is a mouse bed under the flywheel shroud causing the lack of air flow. If this is the case then the warranty doesn't cover this as it is not a manufacture's equipment defect.

Equipment failure does happen with any equipment due to unforeseen manufacture problems which why there is warranties for such problems. Honda engines have 2 year warranty as long as you have your purchase receipt.

If it is not caused by a mouse bed causing overheating then please call Husqvarna customer service at 1-800-487-5951 to find what to do to obtain warranty service as it sounds like Lowe's is avoiding the issue. Now Lowes does have own service setup but still should be honoring the warranty repairs when needed.

I pulled air filter off looks like it has oil on it, is this normal to have oil on filter and could this be what is causing it to go dead
