    Question:
I purchased a Husqvarna walk behind self propelled w/kohler 7021 engine big wheel lawn mower 1n 2009.In the sring of 2010 had to have the carb replaced by sear where I bought it they specified that warranty would not cover the carb replacement I paid out of pocket. The next year 2011 the same thing happened along with the safety cable had both those items peplaced. Two months latter after the warranty had exceeded the two year puchase date the self propelled gear box and transmission decided to break which means I would be out of pocket again. The total cost of repairs to this lawn mower would be $352.37 the warranty coverd nothing thats the price of a brand new lawn mower.I do not think that is right or fair I brought your product i go faith because I thought it was a good product but I was wrong the salesman at sear really gave this mower top billing now it looks like I am out of the cost of a lawn mower./I know the your big business and you my not care but I take care of my cutomers better than that,so now I have to buy a new mower my grass still grows but you can bet it will not be a husqvarna anything and I will recomend to friend and all I no to steer clear of hunkberden!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for contacting the AnswerARMY.

It is upsetting that you have experienced these problems. The engine mfg handles the warranty for any engine related failure ( in this case the carburetor ). If the cable broke due to a manufacturers defect and it had not been kinked or chewed on then I would think yes it should have been replaced by warranty. I would approach Sears and ask them to reconsider this decision not to warrant.

There are many things that can go wrong in the carburetor and it is typically contamination which is not warrantable but again that has to be decided by the service center.

You may also want to ask them to look at the transmission again as our transmissions in these walking mowers typically last for many many many years.

You can find your local Sears store by visiting. http://www.sears.com
