Question:
Ijust purchased a weed eater model #SST25CE with a fixed line cap.The first time we worked it the dust cap fell off some where and we can't find it. I called and they have sent me another cap. What did we do wrong to make it jump off? Also, is there something I can do to prevent losing another cap?

It is upsetting that you have experienced this failure.
I can only think that the cap was not latched correctly. I would think when you install the cover to make sure the cap is secure before using. This is not something I have heard of so is not a common occurrence.
