I just purchased a husqvarna 450 with a 20" bar and a .325 .050 80dl chain. that was what came with the unit. after 20 minutes of use i have the tensioner maxxed out and the chain has 1/2 inch of slop in it. what could be wrong? wrong chain?

I seen this before where indicated 80DL but it needs a shorter chain. Try either a 78 or 79 DL chain. Most aftermarket bars for this saw uses the 78 DL chain. I would try having the current chain shorten 1 DL (.650 of inch) if still too play then drop to 78 DL.
