    Question:
I have an old Husqvarna Practica 61 (white top) chainsaw. A photo of the serial plate can be seen here.

I would like to know the manufacture date. I bought this saw new sometime between 1978 and 1981. It still saws like it did when new. Best investment I ever made. Just this morning I purchased a 543XP to use as a trim saw. The old 61 will be used for felling and bucking large logs. The 61 is going to outlive me!

I can't tell the year or day of production on this one as the serial scheme is before that easily read but I can tell it was produced during the 70's since it has a white top. They started using black tops during the 80's and switched over the current orange tops in the 90's.
