    Question:
I really like the Rancher 465 that I have purchased. Unfortunately I am starting to regret my purchase. Spare parts are difficult to get. Dealers are sparse and they don't carry all the spare parts. I need to replace the chain tensioner screw, and the saw has only burned through one chain. Maybe I contributed to this, but getting a spare screw has been an adventure. Already got the wrong screw once. Ordered from a different company that indicated parts were in stock but now they are telling me I have to wait until June 23rd. This is just horrible support. It is a part that is not expensive, probably needs replacement on occasion, but no one carries it. The lack of contact information on the Husqvarna site is horrible. I want to talk to a person, not HOPE someone has the answer. Someone please help. Part number from the on line manual below.

      Michael,

Here is a link that might help you:

      http://www.baileysonline.com/Parts/Parts-By-Brand-A-J/Husqvarna/Gears-Drive-Shafts-Pulleys/Husqvarna-575-64-58-01-OEM-Worm-Screw-575645801.axd

You may want to order a few parts, like a spare air filter, fuel filter, & a couple spare chains, then it makes the shipping cost more reasonable. Or give them a call (1-800-322-4539) and since its only one small part maybe they can do something special.

      I hope this helps,

      Karla

        Karla,

Thanks for the advice, unfortunately it is due to Bailey's that finally sent me to this site.  I spent significant time searching and actually ordered from Bailey's.  After they accepted my order, they then informed me it was back-ordered until June 23rd.  I am basically helpless. I tried another site, and they too have caused issues. Even the local dealer is not an improvement.  It really is frustrating, and as much as I like the saw I don't think I would ever purchase another Husqvarna product with the lack of support that exists for some of their products.  Have already steered a co-worker away from purchasing one.

      Michael,

Here is another link, and they say they have 7 in stock, also its a complete kit, which may be a better deal because you will get the mating gear, some "O" rings, and will have a couple extra parts.

I hope this works out better for you, Sorry about my first suggestion Not working, and sorry to hear your having difficulty with parts. Also check that this kit will fit a 465, I think I looked up a 455. Anyhow, you can place a phone call or recheck the same site.

      Michael.

Here is another site, Maybe the third time is the charm. This is Just the "Worm Screw", and price looks much better too !

I hope this works, and I would probably call or chat with someone on line to ensure they have it in stock.

      Karla,

Thanks again for trying to help.  I will contact this site.  As far as the kit in your last response; unfortunately I had ordered a kit initially and the parts had the wrong thread diameter on the screw and pawl.  That was the wrong screw that I mentioned - kit is the same part number I previously ordered.  I had placed an order with small engines PRO, but they came back today and indicated they had no more in stock and the price went up.  Adventure right.  A $565 saw, with a tensioner that is easily damaged and impossible to get.  As stated, I appreciate the help, but if you can possibly let someone at Husqvarna know how ridiculous this and get them to check their inventory.  I need to get some trees down, I will have to pay someone soon if I can't get this screw.  This is not an insignificant cost.  Sorry you probably don't need to hear all that, but hope others read this and can be warned.  I Hope the Jacks recommendation can help.

      Mike
