    Question:
Broken attachment lever clutch on YTH20K46 riding mower. I started the mower and rotated the attachment lever clutch to engage the blade and the clutch rotated too far and seems to have broken. Now, the blades are always engaged and cannot be stopped unless I cut off the engine. What part do I need to replace in order to fix this problem? Again, the clutch lever moves freely now and has no tension in it.

The clutch cable most likely broke internally due to corrosion.

The part to replace  would be the clutch cable with spring. Just need to look up the correct part number by using your product ID number or the 917 number if is a Sears version.

There is at least a couple different clutch cables.

If you post back these numbers I see if I can look up the number for you or can goto /images/us/support/download-manuals/?query=yth20K46&types=I&brands= .

Sometimes not all model versions will show up just using the YTH20K46 number.

Added info: On the not all versions showing just using the YTH20K46 number I found this when researching another posters request. his particular version didn't show up until I entered it product number. Must be a minor glitch in the look-ups.
