    Question:
Who do I contact regarding the status of a $50 Husqvarna Visa Prepaid Card Powered by Honda rebate for a 7021P mower?
    Details:

I purchased the mower on July 04, 2011. I mailed the forms for a Visa card rebate for the push mower 7021P with a honda engine to Husquvarna Walk Mower $50 Husqvarna Visa Prepaid Card, Dept. 420-26, PO Box 751367, El Paso, TX 88575-1367 on July 15, 2011.  The paperwork indicated that it may take 6-8 weeks for processing, but I have not heard anything or received anything. And now it's mid October.  There is no phone number or web site that are printed on the rebate form for me to track the rebate status. Very poor design of rebate form/practice by the way unless it's the company's intention that customer just forgets about it. This is the first Husquvarna tool we purchased for the house and the $50 did make a difference when the purchasing decision was made.  Is there anyone to contact regarding this? Any information is appreciated.

    Hi Mr. Zhang,

Sorry it's taking longer than expected to receive your rebate.  Please call 1.888.487.2826 to inquire about its status.  They will be able to give you an update of your status.  Please note this number is to a 3rd party who only handles Husqvarna's rebate programs and they are not able to provide other product support.

    Thanks!

Thank you very much for your timely response, Mike. I called the number 1-888-487-2826, 4 times. First time, I was on hold for 20 minutes, second and third times, about 5 minutes and the forth time, about 15 minutes. Every time, I heard an automated voice, saying that my waiting was under 1 minute, then it was endless music and silence.

If you have access to Husqvarna marketing department, please pass my message that they should re-evaluate their rebate program management - no contact info. on the form, no customer tracking, no email notification on status and a phone number with no one to pick up. Although it's understandable that companies count on the 30%-40% of customers who purchase but do not submit rebate forms or have their submitted claims on rebates denied, the rebate program does reflect upon a company's credibility and competency. $50 is not a lot of money but it's a matter of principle and a promise that was made to be broken by Husqvarna.

I appreciate your time and attention however. AnswerArmy is a great service. Thank you!

Your rebate problem is apparently the norm.  When getting my receipt to present to my local dealer for warranty repair on a Husqvarna snow blower that I bought two years ago (but only used once due to lack of snow), I realized that I never received the $50 rebate that I was promised.  I filled out the proper rebate form the day the snow blower was delivered, making sure that I dotted every "I" and crossed every "T" because I know of the bad reputation of rebates not actually paying. I mailed it in as required. I never heard anything after that.  Today, two years later, I realized that I never received the rebate so I went to the rebate site. It said I needed a claim number which, of course, I don't have because I've never heard from the rebate people who would have given me such a number.   As far as I'm concerned, this is a scam and Husqvarna can't blame the rebate folks.  It reflects on Husqvarna and I can tell you that this is the last Husqvarna product I will ever buy because of this experience. Husqvarna promises the rebate but then doesn't take responsibility for paying it. Instead, they tell you to contact the rebate company.  But the rebate company can't help you.  Husqvarna obviously knows about this and does nothing about it.
