    Question:
I recently purchased a Husqvarna tractor YTH21K46 and I wanted to know if it is recommended to mount a 46" snow blade
for winter use if I also purchase chains and rear wheel weights, or would I just be wasting my money. Thanks.

Thank you for contacting the Answer Army.

It's September and winter is just around the corner. Husqvarna permits the use of a 48" snow blade with tire chains and weight kit on the YTH21K46.

A few guidelines concerning the use of a snow blade on this Husqvarna tractor.

First, use the snow blade for snow only. Do not use the snow blade as a dozer blade. The snow blade is okay for light snow amounts. If a large amount of snow is being pushed, the snow blade may not do a adequate job.

Second, make sure that the tractor engine has the correct oil in it for winter use. Reference the engine owner's manual for the correct oil.

Third, make sure the mower deck is removed.
